Purpose:
To provide culturally sensitive and linguistically competent health services that target the needs of Asian Pacific Islander (API) children, adults and seniors

Description:
AACI's Mental Health Program offers a range of culturally and linguistically competent services that works with the family unit to:

  1. decrease clients' psychiatric symptoms;
  2. enhance clients' functioning at home, school and the community;
  3. link clients with appropriate social services and community resources; and
  4. assist family members or related persons in their understanding of mental illness and in the interaction with their loved one.

 

Services Offered:

  • Counseling - providing individual, group and family counseling;
  • Outpatient clinic - providing psychiatric assessment, medication evaluation and approrpriate prescriptions, maintenance, and follow-up;
  • Case management - linking clients to various community resources and providing translation and transportation when necessary;
  • School Based Counseling - providing services in school-based settings as needed; and
  • 24-hour Emergency Coverage - providing 24-hour emergency support.

Cambodian; Chinese: Cantonese, Chiu Chow, Mandarin, Taiwanese; English; Hindi: Oriya, Khmer, Lao Mein, Laotian; Filipino: Ibanag, Ilocano, Pampango, Tagalog; Spanish; Thai; and Vietnamese.
