Adolescent Substance Abuse Services

Purpose:
To provide prevention and intervention services and outpatient treatment for adolescents, ages 12-18, who are experiencing alcohol and other drug-related problems and co-occuring mental health issues. To use family involvement, counseling, and educational tools to assist recovery and prevent relapse.

Description:
AACI's Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program is aimed at providing competent dual diagnosis for youth. Services combine a psycho-educational and therapeutic component which empowers clients and their families with tools toward healthier living. The program also provides a variety of enhancement services, mental health services, and after-care services to increase the success of our clients in their recovery. The program has bilingual capability in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and other Asian languages.

Services Offered:
• Admission, Assessment & Referral - assessing client's level of substance abuse/misuse and needs for services;
• Group Counseling - supporting and empowering clients with the necessary skills to address their issues related to substance abuse/misuse;
• Individual Counseling - addressing unique concerns and developing appropriate treatment plans;
• Family Counseling - involving and supporting family members who are vital to the success of the treatment process;
• After-Care - providing follow-up services for clients who have completed the treatment process, such as finding and utilizing community resources to meet their needs.

Eligibility:
Anyone 12 to 18 years old who is suffering from substance abuse, who is struggling with substance abuse-related issues, or who has parents who suffer from substance abuse are eligible.

How to Obtain Services:
By outside referral (school sites, probation) or self-referral.
