26th San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival
March 13 -23, 2008
Who needs to go to Utah for a premiere festival experience? Put away your snow boots and head out to your neighborhood theater to see an elite showcase of art-house and independent film. The 26th annual San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF), featuring over 130 films and videos from the United States and around the world, returns March 13-23, 2008 in San Francisco, Berkeley and San Jose. Film screenings, filmmaker tributes, and panel discussions will take place at the Castro Theatre, Clay Theatre, Sundance Cinemas Kabuki, Pacific Film Archive, and the Camera 12 Cinemas in San Jose as well as live performances, parties and special events held throughout the Bay Area.
Since its inception in 1982, the SFIAAFF has developed into the largest festival of its kind in North America and the premier showcase for Asian American and Asian cinema. The Festival has long been a premier launching pad for new films, having introduced many Americans to the early work of directors who have gone on to great commercial and critical success including Wayne Wang, Mira Nair, Ang Lee, M. Night Shyamalan, and Justin Lin.
Tickets go on sale beginning February 18, 2008. For more information or tickets please visit
